There is no confirmed Gemini Omni release date.
The current search interest around Gemini Omni is driven by reported UI leaks, X and Reddit discussion, and speculation ahead of Google I/O 2026. Google I/O 2026 is scheduled for May 19-20, 2026, but Gemini Omni has not been confirmed as an agenda item.
What would make the release official?
Gemini Omni should be treated as confirmed only when Google publishes one of the following:
- A Google or Gemini blog post naming Gemini Omni.
- Gemini App release notes that identify Omni as a public feature.
- Gemini API documentation exposing an Omni model or video workflow.
- A keynote, demo, or official social post confirming the name.
Why the I/O window matters
Google often uses I/O for major Gemini product and developer announcements. That makes the event a logical watch window for AI video updates, but not proof that Omni will launch there.
